Senergy Software releases latest version of IP™ (Interactive Petrophysics)

18/06/2012

Senergy Software will today (Monday, June 18) host a launch presentation for its powerful Interactive Petrophysics (IPTM) 4.1 tool at the SPWLA 2012 Cartagena Convention Center.

This next generation of IP software enhances efficiency, productivity and confidence in log analysis by offering a unique and advanced graphical interpretation.

IP is a powerful petrophysics analysis tool developed by Senergy Software’s team of petrophysicists as a versatile technology to enable fast and accurate multi zone, multi well field analysis. IP version 4.1 features a number of new enhancements and functions.

The latest version includes a number of new modules including – nDPredictor which is a statistical tool typically used for porosity and water saturation predictions from mud log and drilling data; SandPIT 3D, designed to assist production engineers determine the likelihood of rock failure in sandstone reservoirs; and a Total Organic Content module. Also new are a variety of workflows for organic shale reservoirs, plus overall speed and memory improvements.

Enhancements have been made to the Image Log Processing and Analysis module, which fully covers the workflow from raw data processing, speed correction, image enhancements, thorough manual and automatic picking, to statistical analysis of the results, including stereonet analysis. Also new is our NavQC module to correct bad navigation data, Dual OBMI support and an interactive, high resolution 3D engine for visualization of Image Logs.

IP4.1 also features upgrades to the Rock Physics Module which has been expanded to allow for the creation of Synthetic Seismograms, Monte Carlo, Phi Sw and Saturation Height, and now has a new function to allow the conversion of Pc curves to a ‘dry rock state’.

John Fraser, VP of Products, said: “We are delighted with the improvements and additions made to IP v 4.1 and we are confident that our customers will too. Both IP and ODM (Oilfield Data Manager) software suites have become industry standard for a reason – we combine domain expertise and innovation with listening to our customers. Senergy is committed to releasing cutting edge, vendor neutral technological software solutions.”

Demonstrations at SPWLA 2012 will be held daily highlighting the advancements included in IP4.1. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided during the launch event at Senergy’s booth 25, Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indias Colombia.
