Generating your own electricity:
On-site generation for business and industry

Complete project management

Senergy Econnect’s on-site generation team operates an independent, flexible approach that allows clients to establish their own source of renewable energy, which can then operate under a range of commercial structures, for example, being wholly owned by the client, or sold to a specialist renewable energy operator. Our specialists will project manage your development from conception through to energisation, ensuring safety of supply and relevant export capabilities.

Types of renewable energy

On-site generation typically involves one or more of the following sources:
  • Wind
  • Biomass
  • Combined Heat & Power
  • Hydro
  • Energy from Waste
  • Solar PV
Our specialists have experience of dealing with all these forms of generation and ensuring that you are using the right source or the right combination suited to your business and your energy usage.

Cost savings

Savings can be made against rising energy prices, enabling financial control and accurate forecasting for budgeting purposes. Our specialists can also arrange commercial agreements to enable any excess energy to be exported into the local distribution networks, generating additional income at times of high generation and low load.

Security of supply

Our team of experts will ensure that the most appropriate on-site solution is proposed, together with robust electrical design and componentry. Ensuring that your business remains operational is crucial and remains a priority at all times.

Reduced risk

We can provide an iterative approach to on-site generation, which means that key issues are addressed early, mitigating against the financial risk and avoiding unnecessary financial outlay for your business.

Alternatively, depending on your risk profile, our team can expedite the development process, project managing in line with your development timescales.

Purchasing your generator

Whichever type of generation technology aligns with your business needs, purchasing the generator will be the major part of a project. As well as being a major capital outlay, generators are subject to market conditions, so it is vital to the success of the project that we connect you with the right suppliers. At Senergy Econnect we have the relationships to make this happen.

Reducing the cost of connection

The ‘least cost connection’ can be the difference between success and failure of a project. Our track record shows a history of innovative least cost design solutions. Without our intervention many of our clients’ projects would simply have failed due to these costs.
